ABSTRACT
Acute subdural hematoma (ASDH) is a life-threatening complication of the head trauma. It hashigh mortality rates if untreated. Surgery is needed in most of the cases. Spontaneous resolutionis a rare entity in patients with ASDH and various mechanisms have been proposed regarding tothe pathophysiology of it. In this report, we presented a 16-month daughter who attended to theemergency room after falling from height in whom acute subdural hematoma rapidly resorbed.Although no medication was not given, it was detected that acute subdural hematoma werecompletely resorbed on computed tomography images which was taken 6 hours after the firstadmission. Close clinical follow-up and serial CT imaging may be recommended in in patientswith acute subdural hematoma if neurological status is good.
